【報告】Kyoto – Oxford University Collaboration Forum（2月5日）

 

　産官学連携本部・産官学連携センターは、文部科学省「産官学連携戦略展開事業（戦略展開プログラム）：国際的産官学連携推進活動」の一環として、英国・オックスフォード大学においてKyoto – Oxford University Collaboration Forumを開催しました。

 

　本フォーラムは、本学とオックスフォード大学との学学連携から産学連携への発展につなげることを目的に、平成20年10月に京都大学　松本総長がオックスフォード大学Dr. John Hood前学長との間で申し合わされた協力関係の活発化のための活動の一つとして実施されたもので、オックスフォード大学Dr. Andy Hamilton 学長、Prof Ian A Walmsley 研究担当副学長、Dr. Heather Bell 国際戦略部長、京都大学　塩田浩平理事、牧野圭祐　産官学連携本部長の出席のもと、午前の部（Chemical Biology セッション）と午後の部 （Medical Biology セッション）の２部制で実施しました。Hamilton 学長及び塩田理事の挨拶に引き続き、午前の部はオックスフォード大学から３名（Hamilton 学長含む）・本学から４名、午後の部は両大学から各３名の研究者が最新の研究状況について発表（プログラムは下記参照）し、数グループについて共同研究の可能性が見出されました。

 

　また、フォーラムのまとめとして行われたミーティングでは、両大学の連携のあり方について意見交換が行われ、今後、近い将来に訪れると予想されるグローバルな産学連携に対応するためにも両大学間の連携強化は有意義なものであることが確認されました。
